Art Havemeyer Memorial Ride
Note: The event is still on today. We will have cool and windy conditions for the ride. If you not comfortable riding, please meet us for the ceremony in East Saguaro Park at the Javelina Picnic Area. We expect to be there about 11:45 AM.
This ride will pay tribute to the years of volunteer service that Art gave to the Cactus Cycling Club, both as a ride leader and as a Board member. We will ride the traditional C route to the Picnic area as a group at a controlled pace (<15 mph). A short service will be held, and members will be asked to share any particular memories they have of Art. This will be followed by a moment of silence and then the B/C riders will complete the rest of their normal Park rides.
Please honor Art and his family by your attendance. The ceremony at the Javelina Picnic Area will start about 11:45 for those interested in only attending the memorial.

Ride Description: This iconic Tucson ride takes in the loop through East Saguaro National Park. Ride the entire eight-mile loop in the park or the four-mile out and back to the Picnic area.
Socialize afterwards at Le Buzz.
A signed annual Ride Waiver must be on file for each rider. If your waiver is not current, or if you have not signed a waiver, a copy can be downloaded here. Please send it to admin@cactuscycling.org before the ride.
