The West Side Hills Ride... Ride with GPS Map
Level: B/B+ or C
Terrain: many short hills
Distance: 38 miles (B) or 31 (C)
Ride leaders: Doug Toussaint (B), Roberta Toussaint (C)
We will need to detour around a CDO path closure at I-10. We will probably use Camino de la Tierra to jump over to the Rillito bikepath. Also, Roberta is nursing a broken foot, so we will probably have just one group. Note that you can to part of the roads, and turn around as the front group comes down.
Ride Description: The west side hills ride will take the bike path and head out to Sunset Rd. We will take Sunset to the top, then go over and ride Camino del Cerro to the top. Lots of little hills, with regroups at the top of each road to enjoy the nice views. There is the option of doing some of the hills and turning around as the front group comes down.
C group will begin the same and skip the initial Sunset Rd climb, heading left on Camino Del Oeste to the Camino del Cerro climb. Proceed to top for a short break and then return same as B group.
Bagels and coffee afterwards.
