This special route takes in a portion of the classic Mount Lemmon climb.

Ride Notes:

• Please wear your 20th anniversary CCC jersey if you have one.
• As mapped, this route has a 9-mile flat warm up followed by up to 9 miles or more of climbing.  
• If you want to spend more time on Mt. Lemmon, turn right on Synder after the Park and proceed 4 miles to Mount Lemmon Short Road.
• The winds are light for the morning but are forecast to be 10 mph mid-mountain at Windy Point (6600 feet vs. 5300 feet at Seven Cataracts)
• If you start your descent from Seven Cataracts at 11:15, you should arrive back at McDonald Park in time for the luncheon
• The mapped route will make a left turn from the single turn lane from Bear Canyon onto Tanque Verde.  We will stay in the left traffic lane for a short distance and then enter the right-hand turn lane for the left turn onto Catalina Highway.  Regroup at the first safe spot on Catalina Highway.
• Once we reach Mt. Lemmon Short Road, riders can go at their own pace any desired distance up Mt. Lemmon.
• There is a small shoulder uphill.  Please single-up if there is traffic.
• There is minimal shoulder downhill.  Take the lane where needed.  Right on Synder when you reach the first Stop sign.
• Restrooms are available at Molino Basin (5.5 miles) or Middle Bear (11.4 miles)
