Tombstone, Level B, 35 or 48 miles, Rolling

The Tombstone Event Ride... Ride with GPS map

This ride takes in a loop from the historic town of Tombstone and allows us to visit the town after the ride. 

Tombstone was founded in 1891 during a silver mining boom and was named by prospector Ed Schieffelin after a solider told him he would only find his tombstone in the area. Until the sliver boom ended in the late 1880's, Tombstone was a bustling hub of mining, saloons, and vice, which attracted famous figures like the Earps and Doc Holiday.  Tombstone has become a historic tourist destination in recent years, celebrating events like the OK Corral.

Lunch after at Big Nose Kate's Saloon, 421 E Allen Street.  

Short option: out and back to Sierra Vista (35 miles)

Notes: 

• There are no designed A or C ride leaders.  A or C riders are welcome to join and ride independently as well as participate in the social event afterwards.  Alternate route suggestions can be made.
• If the ride leader is denoted as TBD at the time of the ride, there is no ride leader available.  In this case, riders should discuss the route and safety considerations before starting the ride and read these good safety practices in advance.

• Use parking at 80 and 4th Street.  
• There are rest rooms in the Tombstone City Park across the street (south) from the parking lot (behind the city hall and to the right).
